SCOAR was established to foster collaboration and address critical issues within the construction industry. Originating as a regional initiative, our organization has evolved into a respected trade association representing members across the Southeast. Our 50+ year history reflects a steadfast commitment to safety, workforce development, and advancing best practices across the construction industry.
1973
The Business Roundtable Chapter was formally incorporated.
1974
The Florida Business Roundtable was incorporated in Tampa, primarily representing Central Florida.
1975
The two groups merged. and the newly formed organization, the Florida Business Roundtable, Inc., became a statewide association.
2002
Following the formation of Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), the Florida Business Roundtable became FCURT–the Florida Construction Users Roundtable–periodically holding joint meetings with the South Georgia Local User Council.
2011
Due to membership and member business activity interests restig beyond Florida and into the Southeastern states, FCURT changed its name to the Southeastern Construction Owners & Associates Roundtable (SCOAR).
SCOAR is guided by a board of industry leaders, strengthened by active committee leadership, and supported by a dedicated administrative team—all committed to serving our members.
