Safety is the foundation of how we plan, build, and lead. The SCOAR Safety Committee serves as a collaborative body dedicated to strengthening our collective commitment to protecting our people, our partners, and our projects.
The strength of the SCOAR safety committee and organization lies in our diversity of experiences, challenges, and best practices openly shared to the benefit of the whole. Our committee bring perspectives from field operations, project leadership, safety professionals, and craft professionals which allows the opportunity to evaluate risks from multiple viewpoints and develop practical solutions that promote the safest work environments.
The committee has an important responsibility to the broader organization—to identify emerging risks, monitor industry/regulatory movements, strengthen our practices, and support a culture where safety leadership is visible, consistent, and proactive. As SCOAR Safety Subject Matter Experts, we also recognize our responsibility to contribute to the advancement of safer practices and positive craft experiences across the construction industry.
Most importantly, this is your committee. Its effectiveness depends on engagement from across the SCOAR organization. We encourage all contractors, owners, and associates to participate, share insights, and contribute ideas that help us continuously improve. Together, we can make a positive and lasting difference in all we encounter.
